Meet Our Makeup Artistry Instructors!


Sean is an artist at heart, a true creative being who expresses himself though

makeup. Believing that makeup is a way of making fantasies come to life, he

draws inspiration from nature, color, texture, music, and fashion. Sean also worked

at MAC for over five years, giving him great experience and training. He has recently

been training under Hollywood makeup artist Scott Barnes and has worked with

Ke$ha on her tour.

Michelle is very passionate and dedicated to making sure her students leave with

the best knowledge possible. She loves teaching and is inspired by her students on

a daily basis. Her education includes a cosmetology license from Marinello, as well as

attending Cinema Makeup School where she learned airbush and hair design.

Michelle has been a makeup artist for 9 years; her experience includes working at MAC

for 6 years, along with working out of an Aveda salon. Her recent credits include music

videos, television work, film, photo shoots, weddings, and fashion shows.



Brenda has a true passion for makeup and creativity. Specializing

in beauty and high fashion, she has worked with big names in Hollywood

such as Steve-O from the Jackass movies, Playmate Jenna Bentley, and

her work has been featured on billboard ad campaigns that ran throughout

Los Angeles. She enjoys guiding her students  through the course and seeing

them reach their dreams!

Aurora has been working in this industry for 11 years. She’s worked on photo shoots,

fashion shows and most recently appeared on channel 22 showcasing her work. Aurora

spent a big part of her career working at MAC Cosmetics. There she was able to master

her techniques and be properly trained by industry leading experts. Aurora loves to meet

new and passionate artists and is constantly inspired by her students. All the while

keeping up with the latest makeup trends so she can bring those techniques to the classroom.

Joel loves the creative freedom he has when it comes to makeup, and views it as

a form of art. After working at MAC for 10 years, he decided to start teaching at

Ruby Makeup Academy because he wanted to give back by helping people reach

their dreams and goals. His recent credits include being published in FHM and Maxim

magazines, the Oprah Winfrey show, Chakkah Kahn, Bono, John Ritter, Shania Twain,

New York Fashion Week, various music videos, and commercials.
